In Rochester, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in New York, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rochester follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Love Harris Seeds. Always great quality, good information on their website/app about how to plant the seeds / growing information which is fantastic when trying a new variety for the first time. They are my first "Go To" when I am looking for seeds! They have just about everything. That said, I have a wish list for my favorite seed supplier: I wish they supplied more seed packs in "home gardener" quantities. For example, I don't need 500 foxglove, but 25 is great. I see large quantities available on a lot of the seeds and end up going elsewhere to buy if certain seeds don't stay viable for multiple years. My little urban gardens can handle maybe 15 foxglove. 10 Big Blue salvias, etc. I also wish I could search the app more specifically for seeds that will grow in certain conditions, like full sun, part sun or shade, for example. Or for flowers that stay under 18" for the front of the border, or over 4 feet for the back. Or flowers that are drought resistant or flowers that like soggy soil. Or those that thrive in my zone, clay soil, sandy soil, etc. or perennials vs. annuals. All those specific searches lead me to what I want to buy. None of this is really a gripe about Harris. I

Harris Seeds used to be a great resource for our farm over the past two years they have gone straight downhill, they now have outsourced their customer service to an βOffshoreβ location and are an absolute complete waste of time. We now lost our entire growing season because one of our products that was supposed to be shipped last week they apparently have outsourced some of their plantings and now we CAN NOT GET THE LOVE PLANTS WE NEED FOR OUR FARM and have effectively put us out of business for this season Harris seeds has turned isnβt a trainwreck over the past few years I would no longer trust or use them in fact I just got off the phone with a nasty manager from Harris and I understand why they outsourced things because she was one of the nastiest customer service Managers I have ever dealt with completely unprofessional and attempted To put me in my place because the order is allegedly out for delivery today, I already received my mail today and reminded her that last Thursday she told me it was being delivered either Friday or Monday at the latest Sooooooooo therefore once again Harris seeds are incapable of telling the truth RUN DO NOT USE HARRIS SEEDS THEY ARE WORTHLESS

Great Pricing, Very Prompt Shipment! I am continualy amazed by the ability of Harris Seeds to offer quality drip irrigation products at prices comparable to or even below the competition. Coupled with shipping that rivals the largest online retailer in terms of pricing and speed, they are tough to beat. Friendly staff that answers the phone, and knows their prduct is a huge plus as well. They have become our go-to retailer for plant and tree farm supplies. Well done!

I've been ordering from Harris Seeds for ~7 years now for my backyard garden. Have purchased 7-8 varieties of tomatoes, zucchini, kale, and oodles of herbs. Excellent germination rates and selection and quick delivery. Strong recommend!
